Two examples of the ˝d stamps of Great Britain on an envelope addressed to Dynevor House, Richmond Hill, Surrey. Both stamps are tied by a single strike of the Wimbledon squared circle datestamp, for 25^th December 1895. (Note that the year ‘95’ is in up-side –down.)

This envelope probably contained a Christmas card as it was posted as a special delivery, to arrive on Christmas day. It would therefore appear that Mr. and Mrs. Head were spending Christmas day 1895, at Richmond.

Albert Alfred Head died on 31^st on October 1928, aged 84 years. Burial at Richmond Old Burial Ground on 5 November 1928.
